Holidays From the Heart in association with Los Angeles Childrens Hospital!!!

Many of us look for ways to reach out to needy and hurting children in an effort to make their Christmas season a little brighter. We have the perfect opportunity to bless a family and a terminally/ chronically ill child. Please be an Angel and help us provide several families with a Holiday this Holiday Season.

This is our 3rd year with Holidays from the Heart and it has been a truly rewarding experience. It puts the Joy in the Holidays.

We would love for you to be a part of the Holidays from the Heart with us. Please hit the donate button and donate what you are able to, drop off a gift at our donation drop sites, and pray for the families.

Drop off Location: 2416 East 27th Street, Vernon, Ca 90058 on Dec. 13 4:00 pm. There will be cookies, cupcakes, and pizza!

The Kids Christmas Wish List:

Dora the Explorer Toys, skateboards, basketball, dolls, stuffed animals, stroller, educational toys,puzzles, scoccer balls, Diary of the Whimpy Kid book and toys, Mickey Mouse toys, Hot Wheel cars, art activities, Hello Kitty toys, Sponge Bob Square Pants toys, school supplies, books, markers, coloring books, crayons, my Little Pony toys, white towels, soccer gear, football, warm blankets.

Clothing needed:
5 Year old little girl with a tumor needs t-shirts size girls 8-10, jeans girls size 8-10, pajamas, warm jacket, socks.

8 Year old little boy needs t-shirts size 16-18 in kids, socks, shorts

3 year old little girl needs t shirts size 4T/6T, sweaters, dresses, warm jacket, pajamas

7 year old little boy needs warm shirts size Youth M, warm jacket, socks

10 year old little girl needs warm jackety, size 10, pajamas, warm socks

12 year old little girl needs T-shirts, warm socks, pajamas, sweaters size adult small

13 year old boy needs sweaters, shorts, shirts adult size Large

14 Year old Boy needs tshirts size adult Large, shorts, socks, warm jacket.


We also need Holiday Items, Gift card to Grocery Stores for a Holiday meal, Christmas items such as Holiday CD's, Gingerbread Houses, Ornaments, small christmas trees, decorations.

Holidays from the Heart

11/5 - 12/14

We are blessed to be part of the The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles “Holidays from the Heart” program for the 3rd year.  "Holidays from the Hearts" gives sponsors the opportunity to reach out to every member of a family with a chronically ill child by answering their wish lists.

 

For some patients, 2011 will be their last holiday season.

 

Often, families without health insurance must forego their own basic needs to insure the best care possible for their beloved child. Many do not have amenities we take for granted, such as refrigerators and stoves. When asked what gifts they’d want for Christmas, the majority of families request warm clothing for their children.

We will  be sponsoring several family's this Christmas. Each child in the family will receive five gifts. Each adult will receive three gifts. Plus, all monetary donations will be turned into one grocery gift card per family.

If you’d like to participate by becoming an ANGEL this Christmas, please visit the christmas wish list page for our families, click on the donation link!  If you would like to drop off donations we will have 3 drop locations.  It’s as simple as that, yet the efforts of our ANGELS will help incredibly those receiving families who are in crisis and in need of our gifts, but most especially, our prayers.

Duties consist of keeping a gift inventory log which tracks the members purchasing gifts, answering questions and receiving wrapped gifts. As friends and followers of Jesus Christ, “Holidays from the Heart” is the perfect opportunity for you to belong, grow and serve this holiday season.
